Jack's Kickboxing (Full Contact)! March 28th

Jamie Trusa and Kris Lindsey traveled to Newark, DE to fight at Jack's gym.  Both fighters fought in the Leg Kick division.  Jamie lost a 3 round unanimous decision and Kris won a 3 round Unanimous decision.  Kris's victory was the 10th of his short career!  Congratulations Kris!  Both guys will fight May 22 in Atlantic City before a home show here at GMA on June 6th.  www.fullcontactkickboxing.com

We had 4 karate competitors attend the Master's Cup on Sunday (Karate Rules).  They did a great Job!

First Mondays

The first Monday of every month will be an open workshop from 6:30 to 8:30.  All normal classes will be canceled!  Everyone is invited to attend.  We have also invited several other schools to participate.  The focus will be on sparring and self-defense so bring your gear.  You can come at any time and leave at any time.

GMA Open Karate Tournament

Our school tournament will be held on May 9, 2009 at LCCC.  We are expecting over 200 competitors.  Get your registration forms now from the front desk!  Register early and save $$$.

Kickboxing

The next kickboxing event here will be June 6, 2009.  Tickets are $25 at the door and $15 in advance for GMA members only!  Advance tickets for the general public are $20.

We go on the road and run a kickboxing event in Atlantic City on May 22, 2009 in association with the NAFMA Nationals!  More info below or go to www.fullcontactkickboxing.com

NAFMA Nationals

Anyone who would like to compete in the NAFMA Nationals in Atlantic City on Memorial Day weekend should contact Mr. Grant.  We have a special going on until April 10, 2009 that allows you to enter the NAFMA Nationals and the GMA Open for just $90.  We have at least 6 competitors headed to Nationals already and John Bonner and August Palchanis will be trying out for the World Championships following the Nationals.  If they qualify they will be headed to Orlando, Florida in November!

IKA
The IKA held there first ever championships on Sunday, March, 15, 2009.  GMA had a team in the tournament called the Keystone Karnivores.  The team is made up of Joe Brague Jr., Kevin Hollock, Kim Bourelly, Gary Stebbins and Casey Lyons!  The team won the first match but lost the second match to the eventual winners, the New Jersey Hitmen!  The winning team recieved $2,000 cash and Championship Rings!  

Jose Torres organized the league and made a deal where for just $25 you recieved at ticket to the Sixers verse Heat game and immediately following the game everyone stayed to see the fights!  This was the first ever fight league to compete on the floor of the Wachovia Arena in Philadelphia, PA!
